About the Moss Vale Motor Group Team

The team at Moss Vale Motor Group is lead by Dealer Principal Brett Wardle.  Brett's team include local people with a wide range of skills and many years of experience.

Strong Connections

Since 2006, the Moss Vale Motor Group has been part of the Paul Wakeling Motor Group.

Paul Wakeling started his career in the automotive industry with Brewer Ford in Nowra in 1966.  In the same year he married Margaret, and in the 42 years since, they have built a business that has become one of the most respected companies in the Australian automotive industry.
But success in life for Paul Wakeling goes far beyond business - success is about being part of the community, and taking the opportunity to give something back as well.  For more than 20 years, the Wakeling family has been involved in the Macarthur region.  Whether it be sport, education or the arts, the Paul Wakeling Motor Group has supported people of all ages through a variety of charities and initiatives.  One outstanding example is Wakeling's Wheels for Life Program which was established in 1997 to raise money for the Camden and Campbelltown Hospitals.  The program has raised over $500,000 to date and has enabled the local hospitals to purchase vital equipment over the years.

A New Location

In some ways the brand new home for the Moss Vale Motor Group is a return to the past.  The Argyle Street site was the former home of Charlesworth and Company, one of the oldest family businesses in the Southern Highlands and one of the first Holden dealers in Australia.

The Charlesworth family started their Moss Vale automotive business at the end of World War I and became the local Holden dealer in December 1948 upon the release of the first Holden.  Charlesworths sold their very first Holden to local butcher, Dick Flook.

Over the years, the ownership and location of the dealership has changed and developed to include Nissan, Mitsubishi, Suzuki and Volkswagen as well as Holden.
