Nissan Bladglider is out of this world!

We took our first peek at the Nissan Bladeglider in 2013, when it appeared as a concept car in Tokyo.  The Bladeglider is out to prove that electric cars aren’t just for people who are passionate about carbon emissions. It seems to want to fill that growing market for fast, high performance electric vehicles, since the current electric releases aren’t exactly quick. What we are looking at now has upgraded from concept to prototype – meaning it’s one step closer to being available on the showroom floor. Of course, just looking at it, the F1 influence is obvious. A motorsport style steering wheel (covered in buttons), a single seat at the front and some serious inspiration from the Nissan Deltawing. It boasts 0-100km/h in under 5 seconds and a top speed of 190km/h, even with 1400kgs to pull around. Power to the wheels comes in three modes – off, agile …

Best city SUV - Suzuki Vitara

At Moss Vale Suzuki we’re cheering for the Suzuki Vitara’s big win! In a last-minute faceoff with the Jeep Renegade, the Suzuki Vitara has yet again taken first place in Drive’s 2016 “Best City SUV” category, and with good reason. In Drive’s own words: “The Vitara was a good car a year ago, and today it’s even better”. The Vitara stunned judges with its perfect balance between comfort, performance and features, all at a price point and running cost that young families can afford. Many commented that driving the Vitara had the agility, lightness and handling of a four-door hatchback; but with the space, height and 5-star safety rating of a compact SUV. Not to mention that the light build and efficient engine give great fuel economy at 5.9 litres per 100km. In the 2015 awards, judges loved the Vitara because it was easy to park, easy to drive and easy on …

Suzuki Baleno hits Australia

12
FB-Baleno2

It’s the small car with the big heart that has taken Australia by surprise as it’s been pigeon-holded as a Swift rival, and had people questioning why Suzuki would bring in a car that competes in the same market as one of their staples. However Suzuki Australia general Manager Andrew Moore sees it differently. “We see them as two distinctly different cars….I think it’s simply, the Baleno is obviously a bigger car and has a different benefit to someone who might want more cargo space.” Mr Moore explained. And if it’s small car safety you need then the fact that the Baleno comes standard with Electronic stability control, hill hold assist (in Automatic models), brake assist, reversing camera and dual front and side curtain airbags is sure to make you a happy driver. Although the exterior dimensions are smaller than its main stream rivals (Toyota Corolla and Mazda3) the interior …

Suzuki Vitara wins Drives Best City SUV 2015

10
Suzuki-Vitara

Suzuki has re-invented the Vitara, making it into an award winning City SUV. So much so, that the Judges at Drive thought it was 2015′s best City SUV ahead of the Mazda CX-3 and Honda HR-V. Although the Suzuki Vitara was the clear underdog in the Baby Bush basher segment, nothing could have stopped this impressive little Soft Roader from coming from behind and taking the title. Until you sit in and drive this 4th generation Vitara, you can’t appreciate the handling and comfort that this sub $25k Drive Away SUV has. With a more than impressive list of standard features including Satellite Navigation, Reversing Sensor and 7 airbags, it’s hard to believe that you’re not out of pocket much more than the asking price. So let’s look at the fundamentals of ride quality and overall space. The Vitara didn’t have the most powerful engine in it’s category, but was …

Wheels for Life Launched in the Southern Highlands!

00
WFL Web Banner

On a typical chilly, yet picturesque day in the Southern Highlands we announced the beginning of our Wheels for Life program, set up to benefit the Bowral and District hospital. Being part of the Wakeling Automotive group since 2006, we had seen the immense benefits their program has had on their local hospital and greater community, and thought it was time that Moss Vale Motor Group did more for the Greater Southern Highlands. Wheels for Life works on a very simple, yet very effective platform of donating $25.00 for every car sold in the dealership to help purchase equipment for the Hospital that would otherwise be out of reach. This equipment goes a long way to improving the care and well being of the local residents that visit the hospital on a daily basis. Despite the drizzle, the run out for the launch was inspiring. To see so many of …

The all new Suzuki Vitara

00
Suzuki Vitara

Only time will tell if Suzuki’s bold new move will pay off for the long standing franchise when they introduce the all new Suzuki Vitara. The Vitara, which is set to compete against the Honda HR-V, Mitsubishi ASX and Mazda CX-3 was unveiled earlier this month by the Japanese car maker, but the assure you it won’t be confusing having this model enter the range and effectively compete with the S-Cross. Andrew Moore, General Manager of Suzuki Australia, believes that having more than 1 offering in the same segment will be a challenge, but it’s certainly not impossible. He sees Suzuki’s focus a little like that of Mazda, where they have multiple sizes / versions (CX-3 and CX-5) in the same range. He stated “They come in looking at a Vitara and they consider what is the best option for them.” At the moment Suzuki is focused on getting the …
