A sad day for the Automotive world

Last week I made the journey to Newcastle to farewell a gentleman of the motor industry, Linsay Trotter. Lindsay won't be known to many of you, his business the Kelly Trotter Motor Group is based in the Newcastle region and Lindsay was a born bred local. Perhaps you might recall seeing Kelly Holden signage at the Knight home matches. Lindsay passed away recently as another victim of Cancer, this time Pancreatic. The service for Lindsay was an extra special one for me. It was fnatastic seeing motor Dealers, especially Holden ones, travel the breadth of the country to pass on their respects for Lindasay and to support Vikki and the girls. Lindsay was a true gentleman, a man who it didn't matter who he was speaking with, he gave them his time and his attention. I spent plenty of time with Lindsay travelling back and forth to Melbourne attending Dealer council meetings. When Lindsay spoke, it was a measured and thoughtful and everyone always listened. To see last Friday, Dealers from Perth, Adelaide, Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne attend as well as Manufacturer and finance company excecutives past and present, showed you just how special Lindsay was. He'll be a great loss to the community of Newcastle and the Hunter, and a loss for many Dealers alike.
