Representing Macarthur at the NSW Business Chamber Awards

The NSW Business Chamber State Awards were held in Sydney last week, as winners of the Macarthur region we were extremely proud to represent our area along with two other Macarthur based businesses.

Whilst we didn't come away with the prize, it was great to see the recognition that our area received as part of the awards process. Well done to all the finalists and lets hope the Macarthur knocks them out of the park next year!

Speaking of winners in Macarthur, Mater Dei Principal Tony Fitzgerald was farewelled at a function last week. A giant of an educator, Mr Fitz was my year 9 form master at St Gregorys, and he left an indelible mark on the way myself and many more students that followed lead our lives. Passionate, caring, motivational, sometimes short fused but always focussed, Mr Fitz leaves Mater Dei in a better place and his community rightly is very thankful. We wish him all the best as he continues his career down in Wollongong. I'm sure Mary Star of the Sea will be just as grateful to have him in their lives.
